About me

I am a doctoral researcher and work for the project AFFECT within the Cognitive Systems Research group in close cooperation with the group of Cognitive Neuroinformatics.

My work focuses on building computational cognitive models of human emotional life which means that I translate psychological theories into computer programs to compare the behavior of the latter with real human behavior. With respect to this, I am especially interested the timing of physiological responses like heart rate and skin conductance when humans view emotional pictures.

Ph.D. Project

I build computational models of human affective processing that incorporate the temporal characteristics between visual exploration of affective pictures and physiological responses. For this, I conduct empirical studies to gain information about the impact of cognitive processing and individual factors of the subject on the temporal characteristics.
